Supported Platforms
This list describes what Paste Studio actually does today, not what it might do. If a capability is not listed here, it is not supported.
Why video and audio are not downloaded
Fetching the underlying stream from these platforms means working around technical protection measures and breaking the platform's terms — terms that bind the operator of this service, and which a visitor's checkbox cannot waive. So Paste Studio uses only official public interfaces: metadata, published thumbnails, and the official embed.
If you own the content, the platform itself offers the original at higher quality — and we link you straight to it.

Per-platform notes
- YouTube — Metadata via the official oEmbed endpoint, thumbnails at every size YouTube publishes (up to 1280×720), and the official embed. Owners download the original from YouTube Studio.
- Vimeo, TikTok, X, Reddit, SoundCloud, Flickr, Dailymotion — Metadata and embeds via their official public oEmbed endpoints. Thumbnails where the provider returns one.
- Instagram, Facebook — Their oEmbed endpoints require a Meta app token, and Paste Studio holds no tokens or cookies. Links are detected and the limitation is explained rather than pretended around.
- Pinterest — No public oEmbed endpoint we can rely on, so the link is detected only.
What always works
The Image Studio works on any image you paste, upload, or drop — offline once loaded, and without uploading anything to a server.
